Showers or longer spells of rain are to be expected on Saturday with perhaps some of the showers quite heavy at times. Sunday is likely to be the best day out of the weekend, despite a continued risk of some scattered showers at times. A rather cool weekend is expected as a moderate west or north-westerly wind persists, but Sunday is expected to be a warmer day than Saturday.

Further unsettled conditions are expected to develop during the course of Tuesday as an area of low pressure and its associated weather fronts push up from the south-west to bring a spell of potentially very heavy rain.

Outbreaks of rain or showers, which may be thundery, are expected to develop during the course of Tuesday afternoon and continue through into the evening period. A combination of factors is bringing the risk of some locally torrential rainfall, which may well be sustained over a period of hours during the afternoon and into the evening of Tuesday.

A combination of the heavy precipitation and the potential longevity, is expected to bring the risk of localised flooding around the region, especially in prone areas and driving conditions will be hazardous at times given excessive surface water and poor visibilities.
